Braeburn High School is a co-educational International Secondary
School following the British National Curriculum. Students are prepared
for the University of Cambridge International General Certificate
of Secondary Education Examinations (IGCSE). The School enjoys a
wide racial mix, and has recently moved to its present site so all
the buildings and facilities are brand new and in pristine condition.
Braeburn High is a day school with an extensive school transport
system. The School has a warm, friendly and caring atmosphere with
high standards of discipline, providing an environment conducive
to good learning. Our aim is to allow all students to fulfill their
academic potential, while at the same time developing social skills
and graces to enable them to meet the challenges of society.
Excellent brand new specialist facilities referred to in the prospectus
enable complete coverage in the best possible manner of the British
National Curriculum.
Braeburn High School prides itself on its examination results and
last year's performance was arguably our best to date. SATs (Standard
Attainment Tests) are taken at the end of Year 9 and IGCSE examinations
are sat at the end of Year 11.
Whilst the importance of academic achievement is recognized, we
also offer a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities for our
students. Individual timetables for activities are prepared for
pupils to pursue their interests at lunch times, after school and
at weekends. Regular school excursions are also an integral part
of the school's program.
Throughout their time in Braeburn High, students are given advice
and guidance regarding careers and applications to Institutions
of Higher Education wherever in the world.
The school has an open door policy to parents who regularly pop
in to discuss issues or simply to walk around to see what is going
on. Communication between students, staff and parents is extensive
and healthy. A detailed report is prepared for each student each
term.
Braeburn High School has students with smiles on their faces. We
want children to want to come to school, to achieve, to discover
and exploit their talents, to contribute and to be ready for the
challenges adulthood brings. With a staff balanced with youth and
experience and committed parents and students, we are satisfied
that we achieve and will continue to achieve our aims at the school.
