Across the
road from the school are the school apartments. Electricity (metered),
water, security and maintenance are provided, for a reasonable monthly
service charge. The apartments have one, two or three bedrooms. Each apartment has a fitted kitchen with fridge-freezer, cooker, basic utensils (sets of four glasses, plates, dishes and cutlery, wooden spoons etc. and a kettle). The flats are furnished with a living room suite, beds and dining table and chairs, and curtains. The bathroom has a shower rail and curtain. You will
be asked to go though an inventory list when taking on the apartment.
At the end of your contract when you relinquish the apartment, the inventory
list will be checked and you will be asked to make good any breakages
or losses (fair wear and tear excepted). School can
provide a cleaning service, but most people like to make their own arrangements
to employ a maid to do the laundry and keep the apartments clean and tidy.
Quite often teachers will share the cost of a maid between apartments.
