There are many things that make Braeside High School stand out and parents, pupils or teachers will all have their own lists. A commitment to academic excellence evidenced by strong examination results, the breadth of educational experience offered and the emphasis placed on the school as a caring community must come high on any list. As must our strong emphasis on the kind of discipline
that whilst providing a secure, ordered and purposeful learning environment
seeks also to build on the confidence, enhance the creativity and nurture
the talents of our pupils. Since 1996 the school has grown in 'leaps and bounds' providing a dynamic learning environment for over three hundred pupils principally Kenyan, but including an ever increasing number of nationalities. All teaching staff at Braeside are fully qualified almost all of whom, in addition to being graduates of our local universities, have completed or are pursuing degree courses with the prestigious University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. Braeside High School runs academic programmes based on the British National Curriculum. The programmes of study set out the knowledge and the skills that pupils should be developing and practicing at each stage. We believe that our school will mould the Braeside pupil of today into the citizen of tomorrow, whose contribution to country and to mankind at large will make a truly positive difference in our world. We invite you to visit us and share in our vision. We can assure you of a warm welcome from a school that really does make learning come alive!
