CIS ACCREDITATION: your guarantee of a quality international education for your child

The Council of International Schools is a professional education organization that sets standards that define the best in international education.

A school that meets the minimum criteria may become a member of CIS. To become accredited by CIS, a school must first undergo a rigorous process of self evaluation. It must then be judged to have met CIS standards by a visiting team of international educators. They investigate all aspects of the school during a week long visit. The areas examined include:

• C Governance and Management
• D Staff
• E Support Services
• F Resources
• G Student and Community Life

CIS Accreditation is therefore a guarantee of the high quality of education provided by a school.

Braeburn is proud that schools on five of our campuses across East Africa have earned CIS Accreditation, meaning the high standard of the education enjoyed by the pupils in our care is recognized internationally. 

Schools on our other three Braeburn campuses use the same systems and have the same ethos and approach to education as the accredited Braeburn schools, so we are confident they are providing the children in our care with a first rate international education.
